Frame Options


Standard: The choice of most pro athletes and the best compromise of weight and impact resistance, CTi standard is the best option for 95% of body types and activity levels. From low impact lifestyle uses to high impact applications like motocross and wakeboarding, the standard CTi is the built for athletes and casual users alike.

Pro Sport: The most rigid option for the largest of users. ProSport is built with the most carbon fiber to accommodate much larger frames. ProSport wears heavier and more rigid than standard, and will only be applicable to users with larger body mass who require a sturdier brace to avoid migration on more cone-shaped legs and higher durability under strain. Only 5% of users will require this level of rigidity, ideal for support, not for motion.

Size Chart – Össur CTi OTS Knee Brace

Materials

The CTi OTS features a matte-finish carbon composite rigid frame that provides a superior strength-to-weight ratio. Anatomically correct Accutrac hinges glide with the natural movement of the knee and can be adjusted in 10° extension increments. A flexible subshell beneath the carbon frame conforms to the contours of the leg for a semi-custom fit, and an adjustable tibial strap captures the tibia and allows fine-tuning of hinge depth. Breathable liners coated with bio-inert Össur Sensil Silicone ensure the brace remains properly positioned on the leg and minimize skin irritation. SensEdge overmolding on all injection-moulded parts eliminates pressure points for a comfortable fit. All materials are non-corrosive and designed to hold up in water, including salt water.

Care Instructions

Liners and soft goods (straps, pads): Remove the pads and straps before cleaning. Wash in cold water with mild, non-detergent soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry only. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach, or use fabric softener.

Frame and hard components: Wipe the carbon frame and hinge components clean with a damp cloth. Check the hinges for foreign objects after each use and remove anything found in the hinge mechanism.

Water use: The brace is non-corrosive and suitable for use in water, including salt water. An over-sleeve is recommended during water sports to keep straps firmly in place. After contact with salt water or chlorinated water, rinse with fresh water and allow to air dry.

General: Do not expose the brace to excessive heat. Avoid contact with ointments, lotions, or substances containing grease or acids. Fitting by a healthcare professional is recommended.

Sizing

Two measurements are used to determine the correct size. The preferred and most accurate method is the medial/lateral (M/L) caliper measurement, taken at the joint line (widest point of the knee) in a standard weight-bearing position. As an alternative, measure the circumference just below the distal border of the patella (the base of the kneecap).
