Materials

The GenuTrain P3 is built with Bauerfeind's premium Train knit fabric — a breathable, moisture-wicking material that's gentle on skin and designed for all-day wear. The anatomically shaped knit features a soft comfort zone behind the knee to prevent bunching, plus silicone dots along the upper edge to keep the brace in place during activity. The two-component patella pad and adjustable corrective strap are made from durable silicone and robust plastic, designed to maintain their shape and effectiveness over time. Made in Germany to the highest medical standards.

Care Instructions

Proper care keeps your GenuTrain P3 working effectively and extends its lifespan:

  • Machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle in cool water (max 30°C)
  • Use a mesh laundry bag to protect the brace during washing
  • Mild detergent only — no fabric softener, bleach, or additives
  • Fasten the corrective strap securely before washing
  • Air dry flat — never put in the dryer or tumble dry
  • Avoid direct heat or cold — don't leave in a hot car or near a radiator
  • Avoid contact with ointments, oily lotions, or acid-based creams as these can damage the material

Regular washing actually helps the brace maintain its elasticity and fit. Most customers get 1–2 years of use with proper care.
